The story

It starts bitter and sparkling with grapefruit and mandarin, then turns serious: carnation, juniper and pepper over that damp moss that smells like a garden at dusk. It has presence, sillage and the character of another era.

The d'Ornano family, owners of Sisley, created it in 1990 and it remains their jewel. In Mexico it lives behind luxury glass at seven thousand pesos; here you set it aside for far less.

A chypre of the kind hardly made anymore: bitter citrus, spicy carnation and a base of true oakmoss. Eau du Soir is Sisley's flagship perfume and a lesson in serious French elegance.
