The story

The spicy opening is brief: the perfume soon turns to flower and honey, a May rose embraced by mimosa and iris, deepening as moss and patchouli take the base.

It is the work of Dominique Ropion, one of the great living perfumers, for Sisley in 2006. Mexican department stores ask around 7,700 pesos; our waiting list brings it under six thousand.

Sisley's nocturnal face: rose and mimosa bathed in honey over oakmoss. Dominique Ropion composed it as a moonlit chypre, dense, sensual, with a material quality you notice at first sniff.
